The legendary VPC MongoosT-50 Throttle has been updated based on popular demand! With the VMAX series throttles and their new ergonomics handles being so well received by virtual pilots, the MongoosT-50CM4 brings those handles to the familiar form factor throttle base and offers a middle ground option between our CDT-VMAX and VMAX Prime Throttle options!
As with our flightstick base units, the internal mechanics are constructed from high precision, high quality aircraft-grade duralumin. With the axes riding on high precision steel bearing, ensuring the absense of any backlash or deadzones.
Axis tension adjustments have now been updated to be more convenient and can be accessed via the port holes on the top panel, no longer requiring disassembly to make adjustments!
Featuring VIRPIL's latest fully adjustable throttle detent system - which can be quickly configured via interchangeable detent plates. The detent lifts have been moved to the front of the handles - this ergonomic change now eliminates the need to shift your hand forwards over the handle and instead can be easily accessed with either your thumb or palm.
ADJUSTABLE DETENT-LIFT SYSTEM
Utilising a real, physical detent-lift system, the MongoosT-50CM4 Throttle can be configured to require lifting to pass through a detent to prevent accidental crossover into the idle cutoff or afterburner range. Alternatively, push-through detent plates can be installed which provide tactile feedback when crossing the detent, without requiring the use of the detent-lifts.
Included Detent Plates:
★ Classic Plus - Lift to pass detents, push return but with an additional tactile bump immediately after lifting. ★ Warthog-Type - Lift to pass and lift to return detents. ★ Aerobatic - Push through and push return detents. ★ CosmoSim - Push through central detent.
The detent plates can be adjusted forwards and backwards to position them where you need them within the axis range. The plates can also be mixed and matched between sets to provide a huge number of configuration possibilities.
DUAL THROTTLE CONTROL
The dual throttle control system allows for independant control of two engines. The throttle handles can be locked together to synchronise both engines, or they can be split using the quick-lock toggle for precise differential thrust control.
THROTTLE ANALOGUE STICK Featuring a full sized analogue stick located on the index finger positon. This is perfect for using for SLEW controls, strafing in space-sims or as a cursor control.
5-WAY MODE DIAL Configurable as either 5 independent button inputs, or as 5-way shift modifier, allowing you to configure up to 5 actions to every input. You won't run out of space for your keybinds with the MongoosT-50CM3 Throttle.
PROGRAMMABLE RGB LIGHTING The B1-B6 momentary push buttons are more than meets the eye - with full programmable RGB backlighting that can be configured based on button states or aircraft status, we also include sticker sheets to help you label your buttons for easy recognition!
